Introduction

After four long years of incubation in student life, now it is time to jump into the real cruel world. The world from which you have to extract your bread and butter. It is not an easy life. Here you have to give your all-out effort to please the industry or profession. But if you have patience and if you can learn the rule of the game, at the end you will be the winner. Recognition and money will follow you. Some may take 6 months, other may take a year or two. Just get skilled enough and show responsibility and the world will be at your feet. 
Presently you are fresh B.Pharm pass out candidates. You have little value in the industry at this point of time. After passing out, your certificate will only be a ticket to the world of job and not the authority. Do not give too importance to the package at the start but raise your market value by keeping your eyes and ears open to all the business transacted around you. Keep an eye on everything happening around you, make good relationships with the people you are working with. This will give dividends very quickly.

The purpose of the interview

Firstly, it is for the interviewer to see if you match the requirements of the job. These will naturally vary with different jobs but are likely to include:
  • Your personal qualities
  • How well you express yourself
  • Your motivation and enthusiasm 
It is also your chance to meet somebody from the company. Here you can assess them, "Are they offering what you want?" 
Tips: There are not any right or wrong answers to interview questions. The important thing is how you come across the interview.

How to write biodata/resume

Your first impression is created by your biodata (Curriculum Vitae, CV or Resume). It must provide information about yourself, your ability, but it should not be boring either.

  • Point 1: Your name and contact details
  • Point 2: Your recent photograph. It must be formal photograph.
  • Point 3: Career objective. e.g. To pursue a challenging professional career, where my education, experience, skills and abilities would bring continual improvement to me and my organization.
  • Point 4: Educational Background. (a) Year of passing, (b) Name of exam, (c) Board/Univ, (d) Marks (in percent/CGPA). The arrangement order will be descending chronologically. e.g. (1) First B.Pharm., (2) HS (3) 10th.
  • Point 5: Other qualifications. This point may include your Computer certificates, other course certificates, etc. 
  • Point 6: Experience sorted in descending order chronologically. For freshers, only training experience may be given.
  • Point 7: Extracurricular activities. e.g. Participated in various sports and cultural activities at school, college and inter college level.
  • Point 8: Personal information. e.g. (i) Date of Birth, (ii) Father's name, (iii) Mother's Name, (iv) Permanent Address, (v) Languages known (e.g. Bengali, English, Hindi), (vi) Hobbies and interests. e.g. Playing cricket, reading books, listening music, etc.
  • Point 9: Declaration. I hereby declare that the above-mentioned information is correct up to my knowledge and I bear the responsibility for the correctness of the above mentioned particulars.
  • Point 10: Signature
